Zola Featured by Treehugger: Driving Sustainability Mainstream

TreeHugger, the leading media outlet dedicated to driving sustainability mainstream, recently featured a Chicago Passive House with Zola’s windows and doors. Architect Tom Bassett-Dilley of Drawing on Place designed this green home titled “Right-Sized Oak Park Home” with his New Dwelling approach (read about it here), which includes extreme efficiency. Zola supplied the Thermo uPVC, triple glazed window and door units with steel-reinforced, thermally-broken uPVC frames. By including these Zola products, the home’s airtightness and therefore energy efficiency significantly increased, while maintaining the natural lighting in the home. The Oak Park home additionally features no wasted spaces, no toxic materials, great connections to nature, durable and long lasting furniture, and more.
