ZNC Receives Passive House ‘A’ Rating and Arctic Certification

The ZNC (“Zola No Compromise”) Window takes the concept of high-performance windows to the next level. Not only does the ZNC feature outstanding thermal performance and extreme airtightness, but it is also crafted out of responsibly harvested wood. 100% FSC® certified pine is standard. (FSC-C112130. Ask about our FSC® availability). ZNC is available in numerous standard finish and color options. The product features standard German concealed hinges, which display a sleek style on the inside, and are also available with marine grade, stainless steel hardware for coastal conditions.

The ZNC was the first window on the market to be certified by both Passive House Institute and Passive House Institute U.S. and is available with R-15 quad glazing.

Zola is committed to constant product innovation, and recently released a new and improved version of the earlier ZNC design that boasts even better performance.  According to co-founder and Head of Product Development, Florian Speier,

“We are very proud of this window, which is the result of months of research and refinement of the original design.  This window significantly outperforms the competition, and at a price that I am pretty sure is going to come as a pleasant surprise to our customers.  There is really nothing else like this on the market.”

Passive House Institute recently conducted testing on the updated ZNC window frame unit in order to determine its ranking on the Passive House Efficiency Class scale. The ZNC received an ‘A’ rating based on the unit’s low u-values and impressive thermal data.

Passive House Institute additionally certified a version of the ZNC for Arctic climates!
