Florian Speier, Swiss-trained architect, CPHC, and founder of Zola Windows will be presenting on passive house window design and installation.

Zola founder, Florian Speier, will be given a presentation at the conference entitled,  “Balancing Frame and Glass Innovations to Create Passive House Windows.”   Florian will be giving this presentation at 2:00 on Saturday, September 13th.  He will be addressing topics such as quad vs. triple glazing, variable SHGC glazing, overinsulation, and the pros and cons of various frame materials.  Florian oversees product development  at Zola.

Lead service technician, Zach Whitt, will be drawing on his broad field experience in his conference presentation.

Zola’s lead service technician, Zach Whitt, will also be presenting at the conference.  As our lead service technician, Zach has had the opportunity to be on site and hands-on with dozens of passive house projects throughout the U.S. and Canada.  Zach guides Zola customers through installation and adjusting, and has had first-hand experience working through airtightness and other installation-related window issues.  His presentation, “Window Installation: What is going wrong in the field?” will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, September 13th.
