Zola Arctic named A+ Award Jury Winner

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo., – April 26, 2016 – The Architizer A+Award Jury has selected Zola Arctic as the winner in the Building Products | Windows category.

This award program was launched by Architizer, the world’s largest and fasted growing website for architecture.  Entries were submitted from 100 countries, representing the best of architecture and design worldwide. Winners were selected by a highly esteemed jury of more than 300 illustrious jurors including luminaries such as Denise Scott Brown, Bjarke Ingels and Tom Kundig, as well as personalities from beyond architecture like Tony Hsieh (CEO, Zappos), Yves Behar (Fuseproject), John Edelman (CEO, Design Within Reach), Cameron Sinclair (Architecture for Humanity) and Barry Bergdoll (MoMA).

Selection for recognition was based on excellence in the criteria of form, function and innovation. Zola Windows will be honored alongside other winners at the A+Awards Gala on May 12th in New York City.  Zola co-founders and husband and wife team, Florian Speier and Jessica Pfohl, will be in attendance.

According to Zola President Jessica Pfohl, “We are extremely proud to receive this award.  Architizer has such a strong presence and receives so much respect among the architecture community.  For Zola to receive an award from them really means a lot to our company.”

The Arctic is Zola’s ultra high-performance, quad-glazed line of windows and doors. This product line is the highest end of the thermal glazing spectrum.  It is certified by Passive House Institute for use in arctic climates, though many Zola customers in milder climates have found that it actually makes sense for use in their high-performance building envelopes.

Zola is honored to be the recipient of this prestigious award for the second consecutive year.
